2024 Tour Highlights

Post by B »

Hey everyone, I need some help. I'm working on the TSIS end of the year posts.
What were the best moments of the tour?
Songs that came back?
Great stuff that happened?
Guest appearances?

Save me having to read through reviews of every single show or having to actually remember stuff.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

sitting in a Nando's Peri-peri with Doc, Strat, Monkey_Driven, Chloe, and stip was pretty cool.

I know that isn't what you are looking for, so Can't Keep opener in Baltimore

Beat me to it, I was going to post the same thing. That and witnessing a knifing from the backseat of a Lyft with Strat and Stip. That was something else.

the club level bathrooms in PHI

the double-rainbow in the parking lot prior to PHI

Tremor Christ & Can't Keep in BAL

Josh K killing a person and the band acting like nothing happened

the absence of lightning bolt songs

low turnout at overpriced european shows

Boom might get dental plan benefits

stone motorboating the blond radio chicks hooters down under during the recording session

mike being gifted some kiwi power stones

a bunch of gross, fat pearl jam fans in black t-shirts in baltimore not moving to the music for the first 2/3 of the concert

DTE music video return

Mike McCready

Ed's lack of laundering of the Bears Jersey

me waiting at the Baltimore Eagle for frens to show up and no one appearing

poorly-mixed boots

realizing how great the 1998 tour was

never being able to go back in time and enjoy that feeling again

but being content that it happened and is inside me forever

like when i see a hot pretzel in a window and want it inside me

and don't care what spike thinks about it

Dark Matter songs exceeding expectations live across the board

Presence of very large size beer cans at most shows

that one show where they didn't do a Corduroy call-and-response and how happy it made everyone

on a personal level...

getting to hang w/wease and mrs wease again

meeting chris_h_2

finally seeing them play Release live

otherwise...

that chick singing Won't Tell w/Ed was kinda cool, although I couldn't hear her.

maybe the personal stories are more important than the band highlights

PJ doesnt even like touring anymore

they just do it for the cash

cold, hard cash

i've seen where ed likes to swim

Can recommend listening to the first show on this tour (Dublin in my case) and the final show (Sydney)
Just to hear and it’s evident, the huge difference in playing and structure and flow particularly in the new songs. Two totally different energies and approaches happening both ends.

Worth a listen B

Now you took me back. That was a great song. There were two right?
Red light green light was the other?
I only had the bootleg of em being played live somewhere and EV as guest.

I'll use any excuse to post this video.

A highlight of the 2024 tour for me was when Ed said he wanted to play this song.

It’s a nice but very ambitious idea.
