Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Also, cant wait for Heat 2. The book is fucking great really, but im very curious on how he plans to take it to the screen. Looks like a 6 hour movie or something.

I love the scene when he figures out where Dolarhyde works; the monologues work here, but Farina’s there to provide some context.

yeah it can be done effectively, but for instance the scene where he's sitting in a tree getting himself all worked up always makes me chuckle.

It's a Christmas Eve Amazon Prime Slopfest Marathon!

The Devil Below: amateur dogshit, girlboss, cartoonish characters. bailed after 15 minutes. Bad.

Black Mountainside: boring, the scenes are filmed from a distance with a static camera and the characters are all bland, so you can't tell any of them apart. The monster has a silly voice and talks to people. It's very bad. Forwarded to the end, and it didn't improve.

A Sound of Thunder: Ben Kingsley will do anything for money. Also stars Edward Burns, remember him? Sub-scifi channel shit about shooting cartoon dinosaurs. Lasted about 15 minutes.

No One Lives: cool name and stars Luke Evans, but then I saw that this is a WWE movie. But I don't think any wrestlers make an appearance. Cool premise, terrible movie, but there was some moments that I laughed out loud at it. Pretty decent horror slasher schlock.

The Endless: this was... Actually pretty good? Compared to most of these types of things, it's great. Didn't feel like film school bullshit. It gets a little sloppy toward the end, but this was surprisingly professional, and had some good weird stuff. I might watch some more of his stuff.
