She's now released her 3rd LP and its pretty damn enjoyable. I have no frame of reference by which to compare her works, but the album is a great listen start to end with very high production values.

Here's "SAD GENERATION, HAPPY PICTURES" from it:
I get the sense that there was going to be a big marketing/social media push for her a about year ago (or maybe less) but then the timing turned out terrible for someone from Israel to be sold for a crossover/breakout.

At least it made his list. Joey snubbing Kim Gordon is something.

Looks like that Cindy Lee double album has made its way to streaming. It was on the home screen of my Apple Music this morning.

I'm going out on a limb having only heard a handful of tracks to say that the Aphex Twin compilation should make some late edition lists.

Knowing your devotion to pop culture and feminism, you're probably being cheeky here, but if you're not then go check out her memoir, Girl in a Band. Real talk, no joke, I think you'd like it.

That memoir is definitely on my shortlist. I dig Kim Gordon. She's amazing. I missed her album this year. Totally didn't know it happened. But I've downloaded. Looking forward to checking it out.

Having only listened to it one and a half times, I'm already certain it begins in the top 25 of the year.

No, but assume if it’s a mainstream magazine Taylor Swift, Billie Eillish, Cardi B, Rihanna, Beyoncé or Kendrick Lamar took the top spot, even if they didn’t have an album come out this year.
