He’s arguing that the proletariat MAGA set doesn’t want any immigration whatsoever, because they believe it takes their jobs; and that the tech bros have a vested interest in filling engineering roles; and that the latter has to make a case to the former that they can achieve their tech-derived economic goals while still implementing a net reduction in immigration numbers.

Judging from their ratios, they don't seem to be making that case well.
