Joker: Folie à Deux...I honestly thought the first 30 minutes or so were alright, but it grew more and more tedious. I didn't pay much attention to the last 45. It just ultimately seems completely pointless.

I think since everyone and their grandma shat on this movie, it lowered my expectations so much that I actually enjoyed watching it.
The animated piece with the shadow was damn near perfect.
Sure, even for a musical the songs overstay their welcome, and they even use that in a meta kinda way towards the end.
All in all I'd even watch it again.

It's not a good movie but it is 100% better than the first one

Apparently I’m in a crime mood because I recently revisited Branded to Kill for the first time since high school, now I’m doing a Godfather trilogy rewatch (on Part II right now), and I’ve also been watching ‘70s Kinji Fukasaku movies.

Andrea Arnold's Bird was really good. It is populated by men named Bug, Bird, Lamb, Hunter, and Skate. Also a dog named Dave. The women and girls have normal human names

Wicked

A bit long, but fun. Erivo was an inspired choice

It came free with the Kino Lorber 12 Angry Men 4k and I like the cast, so I figured I'd give it a watch. It's definitely not bad, but it's still just a worse version of a classic movie.

It's nice to see Jack Lemmon, James Gandoldini and William Peterson, though. Also it's interesting to see George C Scott play the same character as Lee J Cobb again (they both play the same cop in different exorcist movies)

The scene where they sing La Marseillaise is one of my favorite scenes from any movie. The emotion on the faces of those French extras is something else.
