O, I got a zoo, I got a menagerie, inside my ribs, under my bony head, under my red-valve heart—and I got something else: it is a man-child heart, a woman-child heart: it is a father and mother and lover: it came from God-Knows-Where: it is going to God-Knows-Where—For I am the keeper of the zoo: I say yes and no: I sing and kill and work: I am a pal of the world: I came from the wilderness.

Alright I guess. Other than buying a house, pretty uneventful. I'm not miserable at least, though maybe I should be?

Re: How was your 2024?
great year, and a lot to be grateful for.
Traveled a lot. Europe was the highlight.
Leveled up my in-home coffee setup, and started treating myself with quality beans.
My wife and I started going to Pilates back in June, and it has been life-changing. So much so that we’re going to start going to two classes a week.
I read a little more than in 2023, and started adhering to a bedtime routine that ending with reading in bed.
a lot to look forward to in 2025.

Not a bad year.
Traveled a bit. Met VG in Europe. Got to hang with Dad and Mrs Dad in Chicago where we all met Chris. Saw PJ a couple of times. Saw Warren Haynes.
For the most part family is healthy. I’m the only one lacking in that dept.
2025 will be dedicated to healthier living. And more traveling. And seeing PJ. And hanging with Dad and Mrs Dad.

Spinning my wheels.
Various health issues slowed me down.
Got laid off, but then got rehired so I got a nice paid vacation out of it. Had to move again. Hate my job and wish I'd just stayed fired. Trying to get laid off again. Nice apartment though.
My dog is ancient and it's becoming difficult to leave my house for more than a couple hours because of him, but the fucker refuses to die and will probably last another year.
Movies sucked. Video games sucked. Art sucked.
Books in third printing, which is good I guess. But I'm not getting rich.
Final grade: C-

It was very good. Very well balanced. Good mix of personal and professional milestones, a lot of great music and movies, lots of travel, some learning experiences. Very good! B+

Outside of Trump's re-election, 2024 was one of the best years of my life.

Re: How was your 2024?
An eventful year, dominated by our big transition to Australia. We knew it was probably happening since early 2024, then hit high gear by spring. Closing shop in America in less than three months, then getting situated in our new home was all exciting but very stressful.
The wife and kid seem to have handled it all in stride, but I knew it’d be a harder adjustment for me. I’ve had ups and downs, but settled into a good grove by October or so. Then the holidays hit and I started feeling some homesickness again. Currently weathering that a bit, hoping it’ll fade once we’re into the new year.
So I guess to sum up, 2024 was a big blur I’m still processing and recovering from.

Re: How was your 2024?
It was weird. In some aspects it sucked hard and in other it was good.
I was way more in my head than other years which is not common for me. Im more of a action guy and this year i spent a lot of time thinking about stuff. The first 6-8 months were also very hard work wise.
Travels were awesome, had an great time in Colombia and went back to Paris and Cannes, met the great Wease and family, saw art, music and drank great wine and ate great food. Spent time with my sis in the south, and a lot of time with my folks in my city.
I guess i finish it way better that i started it.
