There are a few characters who feel like they don’t have much to do—Luisa, for example. Her moment with River in the premiere was really good, but she’s just been running errands since then, unlike Shirley and Marcus, who continue to have an evolving and lively relationship throughout the season.
But it all just feels rote this year. Shirley and Marcus have the same relations hip as last season. I don't see much evolution or movement there, entertaining as it is. Roddy Ho is.... still Roddy Ho. Even Jackson feels a bit thin, not quite a skit about Jackson but not far off.

Again, I'm still liking it. A lot. But the quality this season is fairly depressed from the first three.
Have you finished episode 6?
I think I've only seen 4 so far this season? Maybe 3?
Ah, ok. I just didn’t want to spoil anything—I think I did have some of the same feelings, and by the end of the season some were cleaned up. Some weren’t. A little messy but always entertaining.

That's what I was hoping for. The show is so good, I figured I'd be totally on board by the end of the season.

I sure do like Coe now after that finale. Hope he's in next season.

Coe's three big moments in the finale were all worth the wait.

ruddo, did you watch the trailer for next season?

the finale was good
but the season felt rushed
Sometimes I wanna drive around and find you
And act like it's a random thing

Yes, I did see Coe in that. I guess I am hoping he's in it more. I imagine he will be given what happened in the finale (trying not to spoil anything)

Good, as always, but it’s getting repetitive. And it just kind of petered out at the end.

Officially renewed for Season 6, will become the longest-running show in Apple TV’s (short) history.

Good season (though my least favorite so far). Loved the penultimate episode, loved the finale. Most of my criticisms still hold but still excited for S5.

Based on trailers, I'm so glad that
Spoiler: show
the blonde MI5 lady is back. She was a great new addition

The creator said they are always working on 3 seasons at once.

Writing one, filming one, and editing one.

Agreed.

So did River’s dad sire all those on his team with River’s mom or did we misunderstand that exchange?

There was some dialogue along the way that there were a bunch of women at the compound, so presumably they’re River’s half-brothers.

Gotcha. River’s question about his mom being a breeder had us confused.

Does this show get noticeably better after S1? I thought it was just okay.

I think if you aren't into S1, there's not going to be much there for you moving forward.

Finally sat down to start reading the first book last night. The show seems to have followed the first few chapters exactly (down to a lot of dialogue), but the descriptions and interior monologues add quite a bit. Really liking it so far, probably will continue the series, and will have to decide at some point if I want to overtake the TV series. Leaning towards no.

Binged season 2 and 3 in the last week. Jackson Lamb has worked himself into the iconic tv characters list, in my mind. I’d like this show to continue for a decade. What a treat!

One ep left in season 4. I’m not ready to be without Jackson Lamb until next fall.
