How many times a day do you say or write the word "hipster"?

So wha at is the plot for this thing?

Also, would people like to see this franchise rebooted. Are we at the point where this story is close enough to folklore where it is fair to interpret it?

T2B. I'm sorry. It was my word for the day.

Stip. we don't know. Nobody does. It can go anywhere

But if by reboot you mean re-envisioning?

No. No I say with all my heart.

Whatever it was, it isn't anymore, that's for sure.

And as for a reboot? .... No. But I would love to see a new trilogy (or series) set in the universe that doesn't revolve around the characters from Ep 1-6. I could maybe go so far as to say, redo the new trilogy (Ep 1-3) someday. But I think the original trilogy should be left alone.

Badass Digest are the latest to add to the rumours that Abrams threatened to walk over Arndt's script. They suggest Lucas's whole outline may have been abandoned.

can I be a pain in the ass and request a quick summation of whatever drama there is floating around these movies?

I find myself getting more and more excited. I despise the prequels, but I also really dislike star trek and quite enjoyed both of the new movies, so I am starting to feel a little excited for this.

I don't know what's going on, but I like the idea of the director throwing out Lucas' ideas for it. Passion and drive!

Lucas outlined a brief storyline for the new films apparently.
Abrams didn't like the other guy, arnt or whatever his name is. He's been fired.
Nobody seems to like the idea of Abrams working on these at all. Or most people don't.

That's all I got.

The drama all revolves around JJ Abrams. Fans are torn on his being handed the directors chair. Abrams has fought the release date, the script and the location shooting schedule from day one. He wants to shoot primarily in LA, but they want it shot primarily in the UK like the previous SW films. He wants more sets/models/etc built, they want more CGI. He doesn't want to rush pre-production, they want it out in May of 2015.

Now it looks like JJ is super unhappy with the script Arndt turned in, which was "overseen" by Kasdan and based on an outline by Lucas. For a few weeks now, there have been rumors that JJ threatened to walk because they couldn't come to terms on the script. Obviously, Disney believes in JJ, because JJ just won.

And now this whole thing is on him. You can't blame Lucas, you can't blame Arndt, you can't even blame Kasdan. If this movie sucks... it's all JJ's fault. And he seems (in some circles at least) to be gaining a reputation for being rather difficult. He's always been known as a perfectionist who takes his time, but some are beginning to see him as a bit of diva.
