Finally got somewhere in the penultimate episode. For those of you that read the books, you'll like the ending of this episode.

That should’ve been the 2nd or 3rd episode of the season.

Back on track. Watched eps 7 and 8. Juliet having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.
Spoiler: show
The bends and pierced by an arrow
.

Will get to the penultimate before the weekend finale.

This season hasn’t been good, but I will see this series through its 3rd and 4th seasons.

The dialogue is often awful. Phantom Menace bad. I’m not overly critical of such stuff, but I often feel like I’m watching actors doing acting when I watch this.

Fun to see Tim Robbins live long enough to become the villain. He’s essentially the warden from Shawshank in this.

Robbins is consistently giving the worst acting performance on the show.

It’s bad, but the worst? Worse than Common mean-mugging? Worse than the old lesbian? Everyone on this show is dreadful. Even Ferguson pounding her leg to indicate suffering from the bends seemed like a middle school theater production. It’s all bad.

My god, I think I blocked out Common because of his horrid performance. I stand corrected.

All caught up. The pace of the last few has been great.

Pretty clear buff dude who has zero sexual chemistry with his love interest knows Walk is the traitor and the camera in the shop is on while he sets up the Mayor.

Love how Juliet’s hair looks fresh from the salon.

Actually do love the dramatic irony of characters thinking the outside might be the way it was. That’s where we were in season one.

Imagine not ever hearing music, and the first track someone plays for you is Monster Mash. Couldn’t get permission for The Fixer?

It was a fine cap on a bad season. The flashback scene at the end did not excite me. I’m not interested in spending a bunch of time in that period with those people.

About 3 good episodes this season.

I knew the season would end with a scene like that but the way they handled it was less a cliffhanger leaving me desperate for more than it was, “What the fuck was that?” They didn’t go far enough with the scene. Bless you if you even remembered the Pez dispenser’s significance in the moment.

(I have read the books and know what’s going to happen.)

Oh really? Shit. I gave this show a chance because I like Rebecca Ferguson.

You’ve obviously read the source material. Is it worth riding it out? Ending satisfying?
