Re: hip hop
been listening to Aquemini and ATLiens.
Both are very strong albums, but kinda long and repetitive too. I like Outkast the most when they lean into the funk and groove mostly. Still, both Stankonia and Spearboxxx/Love Below are a huge jump into their career.

Re: hip hop
Anybody remember Mowbs 10 disc rap mix from way back? It was from RM user Mowbs, at I think that was his name. As someone that doesn't know too much it was an invaluable introduction. Might have to see if I can find my old ipod and get it working as I think it's on there.

Re: hip hop
Stankonia is their peak IMO. Speaker/Love is undeniably refined but a little bit patchy. I think I would put it below the two you listed, as crudely produced as they sound at times.VinylGuy wrote:been listening to Aquemini and ATLiens.

Re: hip hop
yeah i agree. Its been well documented that Spearboxxx/Love Below are basically solo albums so thats a explanation maybe.Ello Sailor wrote:Stankonia is their peak IMO. Re: hip hop
The beats very from album to album. Alchemist, Daringer, Camoflauge Monk, Danny Leflare, Conductor Williams, DJ muggs…idk off the top of my head.tragabigzanda wrote:Seems like these guys are prolific. What’s the best album? Who does the beats?Teeeeeekay wrote:

Best albums?
Supreme Blientele
Pray For Paris
Hitler Wears Hermes 8
Westside DOOM (single)
Very prolific. I don’t think there are any brothers. There’s Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine and Benny The Butcher who founded Griselda together. It’s a massive label at this point.
