Re: Talk about your day thread

A couple months ago when I was heading out to officiate at my friend's wedding, I was running a bit late so I dashed out of my building in my "priestly" attire (a bright red stole over a black button-up shirt and black pants -- I looked legit). At the door, I ran into one of my neighbors, an older lady I’ve seen many times but had never actually spoken to before. As I was heading out she asked "where are you going in that costume?"

Trying to keep it brief, I just said "I’m a minister, and I’m officiating a wedding." She kind of did the surprised Pikachu face. Today as I was heading out to a work thing (in my civilian clothes) I ran into her again, and as I walked past she greeted me with "good morning, Father"

get her to give you a confession. i bet you find out all sorts of weird, twisted crap about her and some of the absolute batshit crazy / illegal stuff that she's done in the past.

Man, that's a great idea. Is there a closet in the lobby you could convert into a confession booth?

The vibes sound immaculate, brah.

I'm going to the beach later. I hope Rangi doesn't bite me from the depths below.

Did you know he's actually a bronze whaler shark? I don't think he needs to use jits.

I'll be honest this hurts. I'm preparing to go walk in the dark and scout the outdoor rink to see if it has been shovelled yet. I would give anything to be in the sun on a beach.

My bad for the humblebrag, but when things heat up for you I'll be a sad, beach-less boye.
