I was not alone my wife who is a Pearl Jam fan, but unwilling to come to terms with that fact said "that made me like them more". "Okay Ed is great" I couldn't believe my ears. She really does'nt like Sirens all that much either, but she was really impressed.
I liked it too. It was fine, and moving...maybe because the song is very uplifting i dont know.

I could tell Eddie was a little off, but I still enjoyed the hell out of the performance. Loved Mike on backup vocals.

I doubt the average listener noticed he was "off".

Every time I see someone perform on these shows (which is pretty rare I admit) they sound like shit. I'm surprised when someone sounds decent.

Thats more or less what I meant by my post. Nitpicking not withstanding I thought it was great, and only "die hard" fans are going to nitpick.

That's gonna be weird/awkward as hell. Has ed ever done a tv interview before?
in the early day, and yeah, he was weird and uncomfortable. i think he's grown up a lot though.
what would Ed be like if he was over 5 ft 6?

So... from what my mom tells me...
My grandma stayed up Weds night to watch Fallon, as she saw the commercial for PJ week and knew that was my fav band... (she always stayed up late watching the late night shows)

she passed away sometime yesterday around noon... at 86 years young.
Its gonna give new meaning to Alive anytime I hear it from now on, and Just Breathe (Grandma was a big Willie Nelson fan)

Thanks PJ for helping my G-man to the other side.... :peace:

that was better than Sirens that's for sure. that band can generate some extraordinary energy sometimes - the part after Mike's solo at the end is what i'm talking about.

everytime someone likens PJ to dad rock, Eddie Vedder forces Boom to eat a kitten.

My mom just texted me that she and my step-dad are watching. I hope Eddie does not say something that I will have to explain to them tomorrow.
