Years ago I downloaded a .wav that someone posted on this forum. It was from the Twin Peaks soundtrack. Unfortunately, that was a few hard drives ago and I no longer have that file. It was definitely a studio version and sounded great. I would love a copy as well if anyone still has it.

I actually just found the file. I have no idea who uploaded this. I found the .wav file and just converted it to .flac. Here's the link for anyone who wants it. Again, I have no clue where this was sourced from, so it may be lossy. All I know is I downloaded it as .wav

I'm not super invested in Vedder's solo material, so I never really gave this song a fair shake but it's really, really great.

One of Ed's best in the last however many years and (if we're comparing) more my speed than Comes Then Goes.

For the sake of clarity, I am, of course, talking about the song as previously released on the Twin Peaks: Music from the Limited Event Series soundtrack.

Yes!! And for the sake of clarity.. Pretty sure that version is the same take only mastered. So the Twin Peaks 3 OST is the way to go here!

surprised this blew so many minds when its been out for ages. i listened to it on repeat when it first came out, being a big twin peaks fan. maybe some people overlooked it because it was yet another wave/sand/beach metaphor.

I'm also a Twin Peaks guy but I think I was kind of repelled by the idea of Vedder crossing into that world at the time, plus exactly what you said. Anyway, I was wrong! What a great bummer of a tune.

I have that record but I can’t remember how I got it. Did it come with the Third Man LP?

Why isn’t the Twin Peaks version on Spotify? How do I listen to this?

One of the curious things about this song is how its key changed progressively lower multiple times.

- Third Man Records 7" version, recorded June 2016: A minor
- First live performance, August 2016: A flat minor
- Third (and so far final) live performance, July 2017: G minor
- Twin Peaks and final studio version, released September 2017: F sharp minor

In this case, I think the lowest key (so far) sounds the best.
