my list doesn't change very often. Some minor swing at the bottom. And sometimes ST/Yield and Backspacer/Lbolt swap spaces

No Code
Vitalogy
Ten
Riot Act
Yield
Vs
Binaural

Avocado
Dark Matter
Gigaton (these three are always changing. DM should probably be higher with a decent remix, and Gigaton still grows on me)

Backspacer (will always be second to last)

Lightning Bolt (will always be last)

I've been back listening to PJ records sporadically since around the start of the year, and I feel like a big difference for me is that Vs. has jumped up a lot. I still think it's a bit inconsistent, but when it's great, it's about as great as rock music gets. These are more or less in order, but I feel like it's far easier to group them in tiers.

Both Vs. and Ten have jumped a lot for me in recent years, really the first time in a long time that they've done anything but go down. I'd put them both ahead of Vitalogy at this point, though not above anything from the No Code - Riot Act run. All of those are comfortably above anything 2006 or later. Always interesting how albums fall in and out of favor.

Never done this before, so have to include commentary

1. Vs. Best combo of songs, sound, and performances
2. Ten: Hard to rank this for me since its almost an outlier at this point, but just too classic not be high on the list
3. Vitalogy: Not far behind the top 2

4. Binaural: Personal Favorite especially including the lost dogs
5. No Code: Grown on me the most over the years
6. Yield: Like it, just dont love it as much as others here
7. Gigaton: Favorite modern PJ record

8. Dark Matter: Good songs/performances, something about the production I dont like. Still very impressive for album #12
9. Riot Act: Mixed Bag
10. Backspacer: A few more songs, a little more space and this would've been higher on my list

11. Lightning Bolt: Half of this album I really dislike and half I really like
12: Avocado: Just never connected with this one

Ten is definitely an outlier. Almost sounds like a different band.

Ten... the first time it's up this high as I get older maybe a bit of nostalgic. Maybe it's that I've come back to the guitar. It feels really odd but also good to put this up this high.

Dark Matter.... It probably won't hold here forever but I don't see it dropping out of the top 4. Setting Sun Omg I love that closer. I am connected on a deep level to Wreckage, Won't Tell and Upperhand.

Backspacer.... I've said everything there is to say about this masterpiece over the years

Yield... no doubt I've listened to this the most out of all albums. Has spent considerable time at 1

No Code purely as a critic this is their high water mark for creativity. It's Pearl Jam's Tusk

Vitalogy... always great the filler drags it down as just a 10 or 11 track album maybe could be 1

Binaural..... the songs were in the session to elevate this much higher

S/T .... Same as above

Vs great songs as group but doesn't give me a album experience

Riot Act some good here but disjointed

Gigaton first 3 are great back half sucks. QuickEscape wth Ed's vocal destroyed this song.

All I can say definitively is that it's been almost a year and Dark Matter is still the one I want to listen to the most. Whatever order I put the rest in (and Ten will always be at the top for me), Dark Matter is in the uppermost tier.

Ten remains the most difficult album to rank. It is chock full of iconic songs, but it sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of their catalog.
