What movies are you watching?

Interstellar is probably my second or third least favorite Nolan joint. I think it's pretty tepid and overlong and not really engaging.

It doesn’t make any sense she would send her dad away after all that time and all that effort. But it does make sense. Perfect sense. And it’s heartbreaking.
An infinitely more vast unknowable than any black hole or astrophysical question.
The human heart and condition.

But also funnier. It doesn’t take itself that serious and I love that.
I also like it a lot how they play with spaces and situations.

I really liked A Real Pain. It had every opportunity to be completely unbearable but refused at every turn. I was very moved by it, felt very real.

the ending could've been dumb but they stuck to their guns

Pretty good family movie, i'd describe it as The Iron Giant with environmentalism replacing the Cold War themes.
