Re: Talk about your day thread
Glad to hear about your Mum burt.
Better day today, at least a little bit of actual communication amongst siblings. Thanks for the thoughts crew.
trag - my relationship with my Mum has absolutely been rocky over the years but was pretty good over the past 18 months or so. And I've always maintained she was a great Mum as a growing lad in the 70s/80s. She weren't no saint, that's for sure, but I loved her and our last few years were really nice.
But that's all moot now really and I just want to send her off as well as we can. I owe her my love of music and that in and of itself is a great gift.
Got some Neily D and Kris K lined up for the funeral tunes. And my Mums favourite sing of all time will be playing at the committal (she's being cremated) - Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire. That should raise an eyebrow or two...

I’m freezing in my center’s break room. We’re not allowed to have space heaters (thanks OSHA!) so I’ve brought a blanket from home and am bundled up within it.Chris_H_2 wrote:it's freezing in my office (i have drafty windows). so i stole my co-worker's space heater. i may never give it back (and it definitely violates fire code).

Re: Talk about your day thread
did a bunch of shoveling this morning
then laundry and dishes
did not watch the you-know-what
but heard a firework go off around noon which I presumed meant that the banana republic was upon us
we are no better than the hogs, cows, and chickens today

Re: Talk about your day thread
Took the girls into the city yesterday - had Yum Cha for lunch and got to see a Chinese dragon dance, then took the kids to a video game arcade, wandered around a Gallipoli exhibition at the museum. Came home and cooked up some ribs on the BBQ
27 degrees here today - the hottest it's been in a while. Got in early this morning to do my kettlebell workout while there was some shade, then had to go and visit my Dr's office to have my toe checked out. Still can't get it wet for another week which makes showering an absolute joy.... Came home and have been clearing out the garage.
