Top 10 track for me. This track is amazing. The mood, the restraint, the delivery. All players are respecting the song and the result is flawless.

Even though I really like some of the LB tracks, this is still the last truly great song this band has recorded.

I predict this song will return at some point on this tour.

It took time for this one to grow on me, but now I really think it's a great song.

The coolest thing about a theater tour (or even a tour that included some theater stops) would be that they might have more inclination to do their great songs that don't work as well in an arena.

Was that video i just posted from a theatre?
I feel like theres too much flailing and neon lights and other shit for them to pull of a performance with that kinda slow dreamy vibe nowadays.

No, that was MSG (I was actually at that one, and it was pretty remarkable). I just think they may ignore (or at least barely touch) a portion of their catalog now on account of it not feeling right for a big arena show.

That song is on the Thumbing/Future Days pile for me.

Thumbing may be the best song on Riot Act, for me.jdopj wrote:Best song on RA. Comparing to MOTH? Really.LetMeSleep wrote:Top 10 track for me. This track is amazing. The mood, the restraint, the delivery. All players are respecting the song and the result is flawless.

Thumbing is certainly the best of the "Eddie trying to be Bob Dylan" songs.harmless wrote:Thumbing may be the best song on Riot Act, for me.jdopj wrote:Best song on RA. Comparing to MOTH? Were the older stage setups generally darker and more atmospheric looking? It looks that way everytime I watch videos from 2000/2003. It might just look like that because every video I watch from 2013 is from a smartphone camera.stupidmop wrote:Was that video i just posted from a theatre?

I'd say this is also my favourite on RA. I'm probably one of the few who likes You Are however.jdopj wrote:Best song on RA. Comparing to MOTH? Really.LetMeSleep wrote:Top 10 track for me. As for the MOTH comparable, I'm not sure. Perhaps MOTH live when Ed hits the higher vocal at the end, but the recorded MOTH is a bit dull. Meanwhile All or None on the album has that haunting Indifference or Pendulum/Yellow Moon like feel to it. I love that type of Pearl Jam song.
