I'm not Dev. But I suppose he's a cool dude since someone thinks I'm him.

All of them!

Always thought it would make a great closer

bring the house down and walk off

end the show with that as the last word

Well, I agree.
I hope someday they'll do this.
I guess we'll be waiting for the cycle of 2025 shows to see it happen.

Maybe they will add more shows in October

Given the “feedback” from certain recent incidents here, i wouldn’t be surprised if they never played this song live again

Think I was at the first live playing of it? Think it was here. Didn’t blow my hair back exactly but it is a song designed to be played live as others have said. It doesn’t really work in the studio.

They played it 12 times from 2010-2016. It was fairly unlikely we were going to hear it live ever again as it was.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

I didn't realize they played it that often, actually.

It’s kind of a momentum killer in a set if you think about it. That pull back and forth in the tempo and no real singable chorus. And you’ve to wait a long time to get to the jam at the end which is just a porch redo to my ears, and only really the band get anything out of it. it’s not really up there with their best at all but appreciate the effort.

of the last 5 albums i think you could have slotted a version of this anywhere except Backspacer.

Unless it was a hidden track

yeah i see it on ST. maybe in LB, because that album is like a mix between all their phases too, and it could have been awesome on Gigaton.

It’s a bit like alone or leatherman, to me.

If it had been released as a b-side… Assuming a studio version is similar to the live one… I would treasure it as an interesting subcutaneous work by a band whose creative energies often overflow the project at hand. I would revisit it every few years and would feel a lot of joy when I did.

But like alone and leatherman, if it had been on an album I would wonder what they were thinking by including it and skip it all the time.

I have no reason to assume this, because what do I know, but I have to believe there are much more interesting unreleased works from that general era.
