This was indeed a great movie.

Dime, sorry if this is a silly question, but do you speak Irish?

I do. Rusty but.
It’s been dormant in the mainstream for years but the lads and a few other things going on have really woken it up and new interest. Not just in Ireland either.

Glad you liked the film. It’s a joy :)

No Oscar nominations. Well we had a feeling about the why of that.
Their support for Palestine wouldn’t have made them many friends in the academy.
Truth is the first casualty.
But they win anyways.

I mean, actors who played Trump and Roy Cohn are up for awards, so not sure how political The Academy’s interested in being.

Yeah, but it’s not like those two present Trump and Cohn as big warm teddy bears.

Neither up for an award though.

There’s no way kneecap wouldn’t have said or done something Palestine related if they got near the stage and they were long listed for best song too.

The headline is bad. Read the article. It’s much worse. This is the nuclear strength bitterness and pettiness that is the mindset of Ulster Protestant loyalist media. It’s mindbending.
And they wonder why the film laughs at them and why they’re an extinct ‘culture’. (They have no culture to speak of except insisting they’re British and having no relation to Britain or its culture whatsoever.)

Why did he threaten to foe me? It was in response to my support for Dev. So, understandable, I suppose.

Why do I miss him? Because I'm in love with him!
