Re: UNPOPULAR PEARL JAM OPINIONS
I don't mind if Ed's playing an acoustic guitar, occasionally. But he absolutely has not a clue how to play the heavy distorted riffs on electric guitar. I wish he'd just focused on playing acoustic guitar and left the electric guitars to Mike and Stone (Josh).

Fair to say Pearl jam are a lot more experimental and interesting in the studio and songwriting than Ed lets them be in the final pick. Not sure that’s an unpopular opinion though.

Time for Ed to bust out a new, weird instrument.
Ukulele, accordion, audio looper, ... what else ya' got?

Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

He’d sound amazing with one of those line 6 pedals where you can layer and loop over and over
*shit. He did that already with Arc
Get him a vocoder or daft punk helmet maybe.

I'm not Dev. But I suppose he's a cool dude since someone thinks I'm him.

I don’t know if it’s unpopular or not but I don’t think Boom added anything or value to the band.

I'll never forgive him for not playing the piano on live versions of In Hiding. Lazy bastard.

Not a fan of Love Boat Captain or Crazy Mary live, I take it.Sloppy Dupree wrote:I don’t know if it’s unpopular or not but I don’t think Boom added anything or value to the band.

Re: UNPOPULAR PEARL JAM OPINIONS
I’ve gotten to appreciate LBC a little bit more over time. At first I really disliked it and thought it was a momentum killer on the album. Now it’s just meh. But I totally get that it was an interesting change of pace.VinylGuy wrote:I love LBC but I agree that they didn’t do anything else with him specially live

Re: UNPOPULAR PEARL JAM OPINIONS
I don’t buy the notion the b-side U is different from the Lost Dogs version. I just listened to both back-to-back and other than the mastering, they sound exactly alike. I also don’t agree that Matt is on the Lost Dogs version and not the b-side. The drums are exactly the same. I actually don’t think Matt is on it at all. The fills sound much more like Jack fills than Matt fills and the whole groove of the tune swings more like Jack than Matt.
Let me tell you, Homer Simpson is cock of nothing!
