I think most of my favorite PJ songs are probably live momentum killers. Seeing the band in concert probably constitutes less than 1% of my experience with their music; how a song affects the energy of a live show doesn't really factor into my fondness for it one way or another.

That said, I've never noticed it with "Wishlist" -- I've seen it a few times and it always seems to get a good response. There are some cool-down songs that people kind of shrug at, but "Wishlist" is pretty well-known and doesn't seem to invite the same disinterest that something like, say, "Sleight of Hand" does. Plus people are pretty easily entertained by that disco ball.

Given the state of the world right now, I’m questioning my education. I mean, really, is my education what I know?

I'm the seed wondering why it grows, is one of my all-time favourite vocal deliveries by Ed. Grabs me by the jaffas. Every. Single. Time.

I wouldn't go this far, but it's never really worked for me either. Ending the album with it never made sense to me.

I'd have no problem with Taylor Swift singing on the next album.

I think it would have been a weird closer, but I've always found it super catchy -- which stands out in out in a group of songs that didn't really go in for big, easy melodies. Love the rhythm too -- I don't think there's any other PJ song that rides this particular groove.

I think I largely agree with this.
