World Gone Wrong is awesome -- super underrated. Have you ever listened to Good As I Been To You? From one year prior, exact same setup (solo acoustic, old folk/blues songs). I don't think it's quite as strong as WGW but it's still pretty excellent.

Re: Dylan
World Gone Wrong is wonderful. It's the sound or Dylan returning to his roots, digging through the past and searching for inspiration again. We know it worked, too.
And then the recording of "The Water Is Wide" from Fragments seems to connect WGW to TOOM perfectly.
Current faves:
Bringing It All Back Home
Blonde On Blonde
Blood On The Tracks
Street-Legal
Oh, Mercy
'Love & Theft'
Rough and Rowdy Ways
Honourable mention goes to Shot of Love for "The Groom's Still Waiting at the Altar".

Oddly enough, my partner is definitely not a Dylan fan and generally hates it when I play any Dylan at home.Strat wrote:I thought the movie was absolutely fantastic but i can't imagine anyone who isn't a Dylan fan enjoying it.
She was interested in seeing the movie because the trailer intrigued her and then after we left the cinema she said I can play more Dylan at home from now on.
That seems like a victory!

Our music tastes are vastly different and we joke about it constantly. It doesn't stop either one of us playing our fave music. She quite likes everything I play apart from Dylan but she's never asked me to not play it!
But she's way more open to him now and wants to learn more about his studio output. Down the rabbit hole she goes...

Re: Dylan
I call this the "corny horny Dylan" period:
I don't know if you can get any more 80's than that. And his acting in the video is so awkward
But having said all that, the older I get the more I unironically dig the song and the video.

I want to be a warm and friendly person
But I don't know how to do it
