yeah, I don't like the outro, but the rest is good. I like the regular OTE outro like the live dublin recording.igotworms wrote:The outro is interminable. Unnecessary noodling. I don't think I've heard the Third Man Record version, but out of all the live shots on youtube, the Dublin version from f'ing 15 years ago (wow) is still the best. I've long wished they could recapture the energy/flow of that performance in the studio. Probably not possible but still holding out hope for a halfway decent studio version one day...

Eddie sounds dreadful in that Third Man version.

Strangely there's something over the past month that has made me warm to this track.

Of the Earth from the Karaoke leak doesn’t have a recording date.Hypnos wrote:Is this the same version that we already had?sico_pata wrote:By the way it was leaked studio version from rough mixes feb 27_28, 2009_Henson

Same version as karaoke, the date is in the ID3 tag.

Great track, great version. Don't understand the band's aversion to releasing it but I guess it'll be a centrepiece of another Lost Dogs collection when released. Along with the similarly brilliant Last Word.

I love this song, I wish they would play it more. Works anywhere mid main set on down.
