What the fuck is wrong with you, actually? Were you homeschooled or something?

See? We are the same! Accept it.

Do they call you bogans over there, or is that just an Australian thing?

Why are you so mad? Is it because you blundered into a politics thread that isn't even about your own country? And you aren't informed or articulate enough to say anything useful, so you just blurt out repetitive insults? You gotta get over this, man.
-I invented that word, you stole it from me!
-You're obsessed with US politics!
-You're obsessed with me!
-Why are you mad?

Quite the playbook you have there, Rotundus Redacticus.

i never imagined preferences would cascade this quickly. the left has never meaningfully engaged with the thought that's been incubating on right - they've never had a reason to, really, and there's nothing so incurious as a leftist midwit - so it's natural their hysterics would get turned up to eleven. they've never had to deal with actual opposition, or had to play politics on hard mode. they always viewed the right's exercise of power as illegitimate, and never imagined they'd be on the receiving end of a conservative regime unafraid to reward their friends and punish their enemies. we are beautiful losers no more.

if it's bewildering to a far-right extremist like me, how bewildered must the average Pronoun Respecter be?

IQ is a great indicator of intelligence, in that the second you see someone obsessing over it online, you can usually conclude they’re dumb as rocks.

Yes, an obsession with IQ is 'astrology for racists'

How will the pro-Trumpers here spin this? He literally blamed DEI for a fucking plane crash.

they wont spin it at all
:finger:

Trump is referring to BRIGIDA v. UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

The lawsuit formerly known as Brigida v. Buttigieg revolves around candidates for air traffic controller positions who were dismissed after they failed a new biographical questionnaire introduced by the FAA in 2014. This questionnaire had an exceptionally high fail rate and was implemented without prior warning to the candidates, many of whom had already passed the skill assessment test. The National Black Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees (NBCFAE) played a significant role in pushing for diversity within FAA hiring practices, which led to the introduction of this controversial questionnaire aimed at increasing minority representation. Before 2014, candidates were screened using the AT-SAT test, a comprehensive eight-hour cognitive examination designed to assess the aptitudes necessary for air traffic control. However, this test was replaced in the hiring process with the biographical assessment specifically designed to increase minority representation in hiring cadres. Shelton Snow, an FAA employee and then-president of the NBCFAE's Washington Suburban chapter, provided NBCFAE members with guidance and some cases answers for the assessment to ensure hiring resulted in his group's desired demographic shift. Though the assessment was rolled back, the result was the near collapse of controller training schools leading a decade long decline in both candidate quantity and quality.

The whole thing reads like right wing fever dream, but is completely true. A thorough and fully cited breakdown is here: https://www.tracingwoodgrains.com/p/the ... k-overview

Screenshots from the questionnaire are here (yes, these are the actual questions they had to answer to become controllers): https://x.com/tracewoodgrains/status/17 ... 4768571629
so if the FAA introduced it in 2014 it has been around for around 10 years. 2 of those years were under Obama....4 were under Biden. and lastly :checks notes: 4 years under trump. who if he thought it was so horrible he had 4 years to remove it.

With respect, in no version of this universe was Donald Trump’s brain saying to him, “Gee, I think this is all sourced back to the air traffic controller biographical questionnaire from 2014…”

He’s just doing the same thing he always does when there’s a problem to solve and he doesn’t have the advantage of not being in charge: talk about the thing that makes him angry, instead of talking about the moment at hand. Sign pathetic executive orders that say “this is not my fault, no take-backs.” Wimp stuff, devoid of leadership.
Maybe? My guess is that his aides explain things to him like the situation with DEI and ATC hiring, but his mind is no longer able to hold details so instead he holds 'themes' and relates everything back to them. That is why he makes mistakes about things like BRICS countries. He gets the theme, an economic cooperative used by China to exploit global production, but cannot relate back how it actually applies to what he is talking about because details dont stick. He has a powerpoint level understanding of the world.

Pathetic leadership either way.
McParadigm wrote: Just kidding. They can't address the problem at hand, because a massive reduction of staff, funding, and services is exactly what this administration hopes to achieve at every level. And one of the many consequences of that reduction is going to be a diminished ability to recruit and maintain certain crucial work forces. It’s like a hospital firing its IT group and thinking it won’t effect services, because they’re not health care staff.

This administration can’t actually talk about a real life problem like this one, because the truth is that their ambitions will make problems like this one harder to solve. They JUST eliminated the Aviation Security Advisory Committee like a week and a half ago. They don't want to talk about any plan for improvement, because they fully intend not to attempt any improvement. Of course they'd rather talk about DEI.
It's the same problem. So long as the DEI rot is there it will never heal.

Starting tomorrow, Canada will be facing a very serious economic crisis with these 25% tariffs. All because this fucknut randomly decided he wanted to. You think Kamala Harris would be doing this shit to us?

Anyways, sorry to all the good American folk here, but I will have no choice but to wish retaliatory economic hardship on you as well. Let the trade war begin!
