Meh, the romanticism with the mid range shot is so clouded by nostalgia. Oldies act like a three pointer does not require skill.

Watch a game from the 80s and 90s. Just a bunch of dudes crowding around the paint, barely moving.

Give me a dribble drive pullup every once in a while.

Chucking 3’s all game is BORING.

I'm not 100% sure why I'm so down on the NBA but I have pretty much stopped watching all together. For a while I would watch the extended highlights on youtube. They are like 10 mins. They only show the makes. One game I counted two midrange makes by the Celtics. Like Bammer illustrated its threes or layups. I guess that's it I'm not really sure....maybe it is age or I've finally grown out of rooting for some guy to score a point. I kinda rather watch a tv shows instead.

Look at the top guys in the league right now (Jokic, SGA, Giannis, Luka, Tatum). Each one of them has a completely different way of being dominant. The league is so deep right now but they're doing a horrible job of showcasing these dudes.

Instead we have a bunch of retired players on TV shitting on every aspect of the modern game. And the media that gets the most amount of clicks are trade rumors and transactions versus actually basketball. The league has problems, but so does every other league.

Yeah, you picked the wrong team if you don't like the barrage of 3s.

Mav's GM is going to go down as one of the biggest clowns ever involved in basketball.

Based on age alone the Mavs should have recieved at least three first round picks along with AD.

mavs would have to win finals this year for it to pay off, and even then its still a bad trade.

Yes, and he was there with Cuban during that time, but it's a slightly different situation there in that Brunson wanted to go to NY. This Luka thing has happened out of thin air, unless you believe the stories about the Mavs organisation having a problem with Luka's approach to conditioning.

Internet scuttlebutt says that the new owners of the Mavs want to tank the team in Dallas and move it to Las Vegas, where the Las Vegas Mavericks' eventual home court could be an ancillary wing to the owner's casino.

Even if that is the case, c'mon grab at least two of the Lakers firsts. The people of Vegas would only have a small sliver of a window to cheer on AD (who is 31 this year).

it could be the opposite - the lakers brought on AD to be the face of the franchise once lebron retired, but since he's still playing at a high level with no intention of hanging it up, and AD is now past his prime age wise, they wanted to reset and bring in a younger heir apparent.

Now Jimmy refuses to sign an extension with the Warriors. I'd rather keep him and let him walk in the offseason than send him to Phoenix at this point.
