My Left Foot

Fantastic. Daniel day obviously deserved the Oscar for this but the kid that plays the younger Christy absolutely deserved one too. Even more so maybe.

Sundown.

Brutal. That’s a great despiction of a probably depressed guy, or at least someone who just can’t deal with anything.

Tim Roth was amazing. Movie looks gorgeous.

We should have a let’s watch brilliant old timey classic movies and movies I’ve never heard of from yon days of olde thread.

There’s a fuck ton of amazing films full of brilliant actors that are being lost and forgotten.
Be a shame if we did lose em

Got some Culvers and I'm sitting down to watch Black Sunday. Frankenheimer, Shaw and Dern? I'm in.

Vox Lux. Had its moments, but felt somewhat empty and pointless. Really hoping The Brutalist is better.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Okay, this year I got back on the saddle and have been pretty good about tracking everything so far. What's everyone's username? I need to follow more people
