I got two bags for one from the vending machine at work the other day. Highlight of my week.

Will they die by snakes or bring you dead snake gifts?
No snakes here, not sure what gifts we'll get
Isn't it so that New Zealand basically has no snakes, or at least no venomous snakes?
No snakes
Yet another reason I wanna visit there one day
wait really?

not even a feral snake introduced threatening the local ecosystem?

i feel like this is a job for a stupid american tourist or chinese cargo vessel to fix
There might be a snake sighting every couple of years, but then there's a mass hunt from biosecurity to track it down and ensure it hasn't laid any eggs or anything
damn

what kind of hounds do you use to track it
So this made national news today
Rare venomous sea snake discovered on Auckland beach

Venemous sea snakes aren't rare. Interesting fact - they are generally some of the most poisonous snakes on the planet but as their fangs are set so far back very few people ever get bitten by them. And the fact they are swimming in the sea rather than hiding under a rock or in tall grass waiting to be stepped on.

No school today so had a playdate with the kid’s bestie at a playground. Highlight was the other dad being shocked at my age; he thought I was the same age as him (mid thirties). :hooray:

just had a meeting with a potential client that gave us background like she had 15 voices in her head all wanting to say something different. she would start down a path, say "backup . . ." and then go in another direction only to stop about 2 seconds after and say "wait, before i get there . . ." and then head somewhere else. this went on for an hour. nothing was linear, and i still have no idea what she said. it was the most frustrating yet fascinating display of storytelling ineptness that i've ever witnessed.

Found a place to get the oil changed for the Vette, so that's a load off. I hope they know what they're doing. None of these people were born when this car was made, and they were marveling at how accessible everything was.

Just had a squirrels nest in the engine of one of our cars. Chewed through four wires during the cold spell and they have to rewire a whole section of the engine. Thanks a lot Biden!
