Hopefully Trump continues to care more about the stock market than he should. Might be the only chance of reining in some of his worst (economic) policy ideas.

Well the short answer is no; other than restaurants which continue to thrive along an average seven year lifecycle, virtually every other industry is being acquired by private equity or large incumbent corporations.

Which can be painful for a lot of employees. Overnight culture shift, generous incentives gone and constantly changing goals/metrics as the purse strings tighten, disorienting restructuring. I’ve been through it before as middle management, and you end up spending a lot of your time reassuring people.
