I came across this video just now and thought it was cool how he was playing in the rain. I didn't know you could do that without risking electric shock problems or whatever. It's an OK performance of another overblown mediocre song we've all heard too many times. But what struck me the most was how so many comments praised the raw, live instrumentation, and how artists don't do that these days no mo, and I was like, "WTF?! doesn't anybody hear the backing orchestra nowhere to be seen on stage?!" Am I missing something or is everybody stupider than me?

So the orchestra was either added to the video after the fact (possible, as it's an officially released Goo Goo Dolls video and not some random live recording by a fan or from some show) or they're playing to a click track and the orchestra is a backing track being piped in live

Always wonder whether musicians find playing to a click limiting or annoying. It's useful for samples and filling out the sound on stage but man, I bet it takes away some of the fun of making live music

yeah, bass sounds are a weird concept for most of the casual listeners, or i i like to call them ¨the masses¨

There are nine bands other than Sabbath and a short Ozzy solo set on the bill, the blurb I read stated:

The event will present an all-star supergroup composed of Billy Corgan (The The Smashing Pumpkins), David Draiman (Disturbed), Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses), Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit), Lzzy Hale, Jake E Lee, Jonathan Davis (Korn), KK Downing, Mike Bordin (Faith No More), Papa V Perpetua (GHOST), Rudy Sarzo, Sammy Hagar, Slash (Guns ‘N Roses), Sleep Token ii (Sleep Token), Wolfgang Van Halen and musical director Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine). More participants are expected to be added.

I'm sure it will be interesting at the least.
