So in my city there's a series of
Candlelight Tribute events happening. Typically it's a string quartet, 3 violins and 1 cello. They do various bands and even some movie scores. I went to the Hans Zimmer show they did a couple of weeks ago. Pretty great.
Last night was the Nirvana show and was quite something to hear.
This was their setlist:
Come as You Are
In Bloom
Pennyroyal Tea
About a girl
Dumb
Lithium
Something in the Way
Drain You
Lounge Act
All Apologies
Heart Shaped Box
Where did you sleep last night?
Teen Spirit
Shows usually last about an hour, which seems just right. And at least here, most of the shows are held in churches and the promoter comes in and puts out a few hundred candles in the room, so it sets quite the mood.
If they're doin events in your city, I highly suggest checkin 'em out.
