That point was made during our watch, as well.

Watched the first two eps of season 6. They’ve dialed up the corny a bit.

I laughed out loud at Miguel punching the baseball.

The cobra shit was absurd, but not half as absurd as a bunch of elementary school kids in the woods with a fat middle-aged dude who calls himself Stingray.

Now let’s talk about looks:
Amanda Larusso is somehow getting hotter.
Macchio looks the same, but that combover is doing him no favors.
Zabka is starting to age hard. Doesn’t look like a guy who will be around long term for the new baby.
Mary Mouser is a little too pudgy to be a believable elite karate kid.
Peyton List - now I’m being mean, but she has the face of a conjoined twin.

If you haven’t watched the first 5 eps of season 6 yet, I’d just wait until November, tbh. Nothing major happens that will get spoiled for you, and I think they’ll be better in a bigger context. I assume the big tourney will be the climax of those ten, and the last 5 in 2025 will be the fallout/resolution.

I like how at the beginning of the series it was implied he was just a hallucination; guy is an apparition

They must’ve realized that plot hole. They’ve explained it rather lamely.

Got two eps of this second batch of season 2 left. I’m in until the end, but this season was a mistake. Last season was the perfect place to end.

Trying to get motivated to watch this next set of episodes. I agree with above: should have ended last season.

Finished the next set of episodes.

I feel this show is the epitome of "character walks into scene just as they are needed to assist in a fight, a discussion, or misread a situation" trope

Lots of cheesy stuff the last two seasons but the wrapping up in the final five episodes was nice.

We only watched the first three. Two more to go. So far, I’ve called all the twists.
