Someone get me details on his run support and runs allowed. In wins, in losses, in no decisions.
Gotta be guys in the hall with a full run more (of support) per game thus way more wins, but comparable stats otherwise.
He signed a big extension with the M’s at one point. Very shitty M’s. And my first thought was either this guy is a masochist or the M’s have nudes.

FWIW, comparisons are gonna be hard, since Batted Ball data only goes back to 2002. So I tired to compare him to someone like Pedro, but it’s missing the batted ball data for the first 10 years of Pedro’s career.Simple Torture wrote:3.11 RS / gameSimple Torture wrote:It’s “RS” under “More Batter Ball” data on fangraphs: https://www.fangraphs.com/players/felix ... position=PBammer wrote:Felix

Re: MLB
If I’m understanding that correctly, in all his starts he gave up a grand total of 1157 runs and his team scored 1306 runs. The 1157 doesn’t count whatever runs were given up by his bullpen after coming out of the game, but the 1306 does count runs scored by the M’s after coming out of the game?Simple Torture wrote:It’s “RS” under “More Batter Ball” data on fangraphs: https://www.fangraphs.com/players/felix ... position=PBammer wrote:Felix

Re: MLB
Thinking about this and there are plenty of guys who should have been unanimous. Just think about “who is the idiot that didn’t vote for …”doug rr wrote:who is the one idiot that didn't vote for Ichiro?
Mike Piazza
Frank Thomas
Rickey Henderson
Ken Griffey Jr.
Randy Johnson
Derek Jeter (even though he sucks)
If I’m not mistaken, Mariano Rivera is the only one. So that means there were voters who omitted Ruth, Koufax … I mean come on. WTF.

Yeah, good list. It is just some bunghole that wants to think he has some kind of power over these players.Bammer wrote:Thinking about this and there are plenty of guys who should have been unanimous. Alex Bregman has the second highest OBP at Fenway ever, only behind Ted Williams.

You can tell it’s nearly baseball season because I’m doing enough googling that I got a sponsored post announcing the Australian national baseball team on Facebook.

What is the bigger news today?
ESPN and MLB parting ways after next season
or
Yankees allowing beards again. And I don't mean Derek Jeter.

Really don’t feel strongly about either story, I don’t have cable so I haven’t watched MLB on ESPN regularly in years. Just the other day I saw a video of the ruins of the Baseball Tonight set, and that did give me a shot of nostalgia.

Looking forward to this season even though the Pirates don’t look like they’re playoff-worthy
