It's obvious that Trump doesn't work on the weekends, because the news gets really quiet. I wonder how Elon feels about such laziness.

I'm sure no excessive spending was made on getting the President to the Super Bowl, but hopefully DOGE is looking into it just in case.BurtReynolds wrote:It's obvious that Trump doesn't work on the weekends, because the news gets really quiet. I wonder how Elon feels about such laziness.

These are good ideas... but frankly... I can't keep up. Which is the point, I get it, but it's to chaotic to have a marginally informed understanding of anything right nowMcParadigm wrote:We could always just talk more about what’s happening around us.
I mean, I understand that some people do fully support the dismantling of the administrative state. I’ve known that for a long time.
But we’ve had quite a lot of conversations in here that boiled down to “well, the president can’t do (thing that is being discussed but hasn’t been acted on),” or “trying to do (x) would be a terrible and scandalous violation of crucial norms.” We’ve had people here post op-eds about how canceling federal student loan debt is probably not within the president‘s constitutional powers.
And now you have an administration that refuses to pay out funds authorized by Congress, is unwriting corruption laws at a frenzied pace, and is shutting down entire agencies even when doing so requires outright ignoring the judiciary.
Normally, “criticism of how they are going about this thing“ is as much a part of the conversation here as “what will the effect of the thing they are doing be.“ And in this case it’s happening extremely quickly, so it seems pertinent to talk about.

Hopefully it plays out the same way and we get to see Musk bifurcated and fucked down an elevator shaft.

I saw a snippet that trump said he doesn't see Vance as his successor. lol. Now you see musk answering questions in the Oval Office and calling all these shots.
Do you think Vance feels like a schmuck? Nope. He sold his soul.

I bet he does feel like a schmuck. He did sell his soul and figured this was his golden ticket. Only daddy pulled the rug out from under him.
Obviously it’s because Trump will be the nominee in ‘28.

That so far past a threat there isn’t a word for it.
Stochastic terrorism isn’t even it.
“Elon Musk is mad about Judge McConnell’s decision to unfreeze federal grants…
So he posted a picture of his daughter, her full name, her position of where she works, and a page of a signed tax statement she filed.
The judge’s daughter.”

That said, Musk may just feel the tweet will get buried given he tweeted 1,494 times in the 15 days following Trump's inauguration and I wouldn't expect the volume to have decreased.
