Cold and snowing. We are supposed to get 3-5 inches today. Just enough to cancel school.

Yeah, you can pretty much count on the actual amount of to be at the low end of the range.

It is made up bullshit for viewership. We got a snow a couple of weeks ago, and for a week prior, the local news would lead with "we could get up to 12 inches of snow!". Even the night before, when they had a good idea of what the system was doing. People around here freaking out because we never get snow. It was so dumb and obvious what they were doing.

Dev wrote:Definitely got frostbite in my pinky finger today. Goddam it. One of the worst pains out there if you didn't know.
today this looks sort of grotesque lol.

also got frostbite on my ear but it was more mild and I am not going to look but I don't believe the actual tissue got damaged.

ALSO had frozen dick one day but it wasn't crawl on the floor level painful like it has been other times in the past.

I might concede the next week. The last time I went out in the Extreme Cold Warning was mildly frightening.

There was a Cat 5 cyclone that made landfall in the north of my state today. Veered north at the last minute missing a major townsite/port by about 100kms. It was packing 300km/h winds.

I lived 21 years in cyclone country. Don't miss it one little bit.
Free boops today.
