Ahh yes. He does a nice "Elderly Woman" as well.
He changes the chords around in the chorus. Interesting.

I’m watching a live version and the crowd yelled “hello” at the right time. Had he included that on an album or something?
There's probably just some overlap in the Venn diagram of Billy Stings fans and PJ fans.

I must be an outlier because at the time everyone said it was awful. But I love the Corduroy cover from the Fleet Foxes bloke. He performed it on Fallon.

Hadn't seen that. I at least enjoyed the outro.

Played the waiting, teased some cover briefly, then corduroy. With the roots. Was awesome

My guess is like an Elvis Costello song. Like two bars. I didn't recognize it but I'm not cool. It was obviously a shout out of sorts

I have no idea what song it was. This is just my weird guess. Could have been any song by any artist. His whole bit during breakdown of the waiting was honoring snl legends who are no longer with us.

Someone else will figure it out

Yeah Elvis Costello switched up his song on SNL 40 years ago or whatever to Radio Radio and got banned by Lorne. This was a reference to that.

Still can't believe that Corduroy.

Maybe it was that same one Costello stopped back in the day.
