Sounds like a reasonable representation of many people's positions these days.
It most certainly is the position of the MAGA sheeple. A flock long lost to the meaning of true faith and all aspects of Christianity almost offend them now. They have their false idol driving them into the hands of Satan.
How deplorable can you be? This and the minerals "deal" they are trying to push, that will give Ukraine no benefits, only a loss of billions of dollers worth of minerals.
Trump complains about the price of NATO and nobody else pulling their weight.
The US has 100,000 active military personnel in bases all over Europe.
Thats where the cost is. No other country does that. So what gives complaining about the cost of it?

it has nothing to do with that, and everything to do with moving on from the entrenched relationships between the military and the big four prime contractors, so that a modern military can be fast and nimble with their acquisitions processes, and venture capitalists can deploy into smaller startups without Lockheed Martin keeping competitors at bay because of their stranglehold on archaic compliance mechanisms and preferred relationships.
Yeah, dime! The indefinite president thing is just a happy bonus!

I'm not arguing that Trump's not trying to consolidate power, of course he is. But the firing of military top brass has nothing to do with it. He already made that play with the courts.
