I've been pretty neutral on Hamas Vs Israel, mostly due to a lack of knowledge on my part, but Hamas handing over the remains of a random rather than the actual Mum with her kids is fucking atrocious.

And I don't even want to look at the video being referenced here.

Why do so many people have to be so fucked up?

They pulled bodies from rubble. People that were killed in an Israeli air strike.
The two poor kids easily identifiable owing to their size. The rest were adults and badly decomposed.
There was no malicious intent in that. Why would they want to lose a global pr war for that intentionally?
And you clearly haven’t seen the videos of the thousands and thousands of dead babies and people being buried in mass graves by Israel’s bulldozers. Or maybe they don’t matter?

On the left is the coffins in front of a huge poster the Gazans made for the event and the right is kids and families celebrating. To note, the Gazans tried to pull fast one and pass off another body as the mother until Israel called them on it and then they conveniently ‘found’ the right one.

It’s important the world sees what is really happening there and not just Hamas propaganda:

Ok, so I was right about the video. Cool.

I've now read that and at no point does it provide any evidence that the children abducted by the Gazans were killed by an airstrike other than the Hamas video. It simply states that at the time of reporting about the Hamas video, no major press agency contradicted it, and then goes on to do that thing where the text creates an impression of deceit by describing different but similar events and then tricking the reader by indirectly implying the event in question follows a pattern and therefore is the same. This way of writing is very common in Marxist thinking, it's called a "dialectical critique", and works when we a reader's perspective on the oppressor/oppressed binary is aligned to the authors.

But the foundational idea that we should believe the people who abducted this family and video taped a psychological torture session with the one remaining family member is... not rational.
