They were cranking "Gift Horse" - Idles, over the PA.

"Watch watch, my my, steed steed, go go, far far, Watch watch, my my, steed steed, go go, far far, wooooooooooooo". Right at that moment jack and the band kick in right on beat....

It was non-stop the entire way. A fucking freight train of rock n roll.

Unbelievable.

:bammer:

The one time I saw him a few years ago, it was the same. He was pissed at the crowd and ended up ending the show early. But fuck it was electric! And non-stop until it was abruptly just over.

He's awesome. Glad you had a good time

Have any Jackheads been to his Blue Room venue and Third Man record store? The Blue Room is a very solid venue and highly recommended for any music fans in the Southeast. They get some hip acts playing there.

I saw the Stripes twice but Jack has grown so much as a performer - his show here last December was one of the best I've ever witnessed.

I don’t care about Jack White at all, but this post made me smile. Welcome home!

Again, I was at the Radio City show that he cut short many moons ago. Played about 55 minutes before storming off. Very short show but I'll be honest... it was the most blistering, locked-in, and adrenaline-pumping 55 minutes of a show I've ever attended. Dude was on fire. No chatting between songs (after yelling at the crowd for a third time), just playing. Song into song into song, trying to rip back all attention and melt faces. It was pretty awesome.

I was certainly bummed that it was so short and I've kinda held it against him on some level since.

But, fuck, it was outstanding. Unreal show.

i love that video, song is pretty cool but generic

gave his new album a listen and man, he sure can move around the fret board at times and i love his tone but the riffs are so random/meandering, they feel kinda pointless to me

I think pretty much the opposite.
I don't know if he does it every time, but this live version with slow build-up intro really hits the spot.

Yeah, I think this song is perfection. I love everything about it.
