i think when the movie premiered in Cannes the vibe was mostly good and then after a while and specially after the movie was out everyone really hated it.
I could only see 35 minutes of it. I might come back someday, but i need to be drunk to see it.

Anora
Dune: Part Two
Conclave
The Substance
We have watched the same movies. Anora is my favorite too.
Conclave is good, a solid second place. Dune Part Two I thought was alright, much better than the first one.
The Substance is straight up bad.
As for the rest: I watched half of Wicked on a flight and couldn't stomach it. The Brutalist I keep meaning to watch but its length makes me want to watch just about anything else -- I'll get to it at some point. Haven't seen A Complete Unknown nor do I want to. I'm gonna watch I'm Still Here this week. Don't know anything about Nickel Boys. I haven't seen Emilia Perez but I desperately want it to win big so all these Letterboxd teens see what a farce the Oscars are.

ain't seen Wicked, I'm Still Here, or Emilia Perez. And I didn't do this on purpose, but my ranking is a near exact inverse of Joe's for the ones we've both seen.

meh. second best of a mediocre bunch. Anora is the only one on that list I well and truly loved. I
Complete Unknown is a fine entry in the bio-pic genre. Never overwrought or desperate, often fun. I like Chalamet and Dylan and thought the supporting cast all did a fine job. It was a pleasant couple of hours, nothing life-changing

I would agree with this review, except that I would say the supporting cast was excellent.

Yeah, you're right. Fine job was the wrong way to put it.
