Man, God of War is fun! I suck. Die constantly. I’m terrible at button combo fighting. But I spent the weekend mainly doing side quests before getting my swords on chains. Holy shit, they’re awesome. I’m still nowhere near killing a valkyrie tho.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

The worst are games where you start out as a younger version of your character.

There are some bad offenders out there (ex. Twilight Princess being the absolute worst), but I don't recall the GoW opening being slow or boring though.

Started Avowed today, not crazy about the combat to start but getting the hang of it. I don’t usually play as a spellcaster but might go that way because the melee just seems too chaotic for me.

On day 3 of downloading from the Play store. This game is so portable and disruptive during household chores. Dishes are piling up.

Have you got a hang of the tarots yet?

Man, God of War is fun! I suck. Die constantly. I’m terrible at button combo fighting. But I spent the weekend mainly doing side quests before getting my swords on chains. Holy shit, they’re awesome. I’m still nowhere near killing a valkyrie tho.

What I’m realizing is most games of the past ten years just take some time to get into. Controls, story, character building, etc. I almost quit Red Dead 2 multiple times in the first 15-20 hours. In the end, I feel like if it was a smaller map, I would have loved it. There was just too much unavoidable travel. But it taught me patience.

God of War’s opening is crazy fast. Yeah, you cut down a tree and drag it home. Then you do a clumsy deer hunt. But then it is fucking on. Overwhelmingly. I’m really enjoying it. I hope I get good enough to finish it on the regular setting. It’s not looking good at the moment, but I’m optimistic.

You definitely level-up with noticeable gains as you go. You'll be able to bitch slap all the Valkyries by the end. Then it's Queen Valkyrie time - she's a toughie, but she's optional. No main story boss is overwhelming. You should be fine.

Yeah, it works like a permanent buff for whatever card you apply it to.

I finally won all the antes after about a week of playing.

The joker that really helped me was one that added xMULT for every booster pack that I skipped. It was hard to skip booster packs at first, but once I start hitting x5 MULT onward, the deck started becoming unstoppable with the other Jokers I had. Every trip to the shop was 2x more MULT just for opening packs and hitting "skip."

There's 700 super villains in the spiderman universe and for whatever reason the creators of spiderman 2 make you fight 16000 waves of the same street thugs over n over n over

As nice as it looks to swing around nyc this is one of the worst games I've ever played

Did you enjoy the Pillars games? They're some of my fav. of all time. The world building is next level and I'm eager to check this one out. Knowing me, it won't be for another year or two as I don't do much gaming these days, but still. It's at the top of the list.
