I've been thinking it would be really funny to find out that Boom did in fact play most of the keys on this record, and BoB is only on Future Days. But I don't know how we'd ever find that out.

Did this song get used in a TV show last week or something? I can't figure why it's suddenly on the digital rock charts (at #30, no less), considering none of the other songs are (Sirens included).

I think someone said they used it for a piece before one of the world series games

Flipping through the 10 box set composition book, I noticed the phrase future days was on one one of the pages..thought it was kinda funny that it dates that far back. If i remember ill put up a pic of it later.

Listened to this again on the way to work to try and give it another chance. Threw up in my mouth a little bit and decided it was a horrible way to start a Monday. Quickly becoming my least favorite song of theirs, ever.

Definitely enjoy this one at the moment, piano and all. Perfect middle of the road track.

Probably shouldnt have closed the album, but I dont really see anywhere else to have put it.

I was shocked and a bit disturbed when it came on. My wife loves the song (and the show), so they probably put it on the right show.

I have to admit it... I've really been loving this song recently. Seeing it live with Boom's distorted organ intro really did it for me. In fact, surprisingly, I'm finding the whole closing run of the last 3 songs to be one of my favorite parts of the record. That's certainly a good sign for the longevity of this record in my future playlists.

Is that on video yet? Does it not make you wish it sounded like that on the album?

"please this is just too good to be gone" is delivered so beautifully. I love this song!!

So persistent in my ways
Hey Angel I am here to stay
No resistance, no alarms
Please, this is just too good to be gone

Beautiful. Seems to be sung about staying healthy for your kids, and having a past of some chemical abuse but sobering up for them. Raw and beautiful.

Wow, I had to go back to page 6 to find this thread. Anyway, I think I'm starting to come around to this song and realizing that I never really hated it. Looking at the last few posts in this thread, it looks like this has been somewhat of a trend. I find myself enjoying the ridiculously epic keyboard(?) at;
"When hurricanes and cyclones raged
When winds turned dirt to dust
When floods they came or tides they raised
Ever closer became us"

However, this line has been bugging me;
"No one wins but somehow they're still played"
Well, if no one wins, then yea, the games would still be played, until somebody wins. Right?

Whoa. I've just realised how rapey this sounds.
