Had he ever played a straight dramatic role in his life?

He’s always the gag dad or cringe uncle.

This series is a terrible idea but fair play to him getting a massive payout before he dies.
Which he will long before they finish filming and they’ll have to recast.

Janet McTeer as McGonagall is inspired casting. Good job HBO!

I don't think I know anything about the guy they're eyeing for Snape. I'll have to look him up. But it's hard to imagine anyone other than Rickman. Whomever they get will have a really tough job.

Seems quite likely Harry and his father, now both will be accused of being racists, for hating Snape.

Paapa Essiedu is way too much of a great actor for Harry Potter...i guess congrats to the fans?

His role in I May Destroy You was great. Man, time to rewatch that series....talk about being brilliant!
