One would hope this is one of those things that will come back to bite him on the ass. In no universe are Americans or America going to be better off under tariffs all over the place. Is he so completely incompetent financially (history would suggest he is) that he doesn’t realise that? Or he knows and just doesn’t care and is going to lie it out. Eventually and inevitably blaming all the countries he stuck tariffs on for the insane prices people are having to pay and for businesses closing down and all the resultant job losses
