US/UKR proposed ceasefire includes:

• -30-day pause in hostilities, covering missile, drone, and bomb attacks, as well as fighting along the entire front line, including the Black Sea. The ceasefire could be extended by mutual agreement.
  -The truce would facilitate prisoner exchanges, the release of detained civilians, and the return of Ukrainian children forcibly transferred to Russia.
  -The ceasefire is intended as a precursor to comprehensive negotiations for a lasting peace, though specific terms for a permanent deal remain undefined publicly.

And Trump restarted sharing intel with UKR. Rough getting here, but these are good steps towards peace.

The hundreds of thousands dead have already happened. But I dream of a future where Ukraine can stand strong and free. Free from Russia in a different way than before. Like Poland, a stromh independent nation, with their culture on display, with room for tourism, and millions returning. If they have to agree to give up the conquered land, that is sad, but more importantly is that the rest of the country is completely safe for the future. No immediate risk of another Russian invasion.

If these peace terms are as reported, they are a historic betrayal. Nothing in American history would come near to it. It would side the US squarely and definitively with dictatorship. It would mark the collapse of Western values across the Atlantic.

You can write about this stuff over and over again. You can print page after page and commit sentence after sentence, but the cold reality of the words still strikes you like a slap to the face. The brutal, remorseless logic of what is happening is almost impossible to bear. An Axios news agency report – rejected by the Kremlin – says that Ukraine envoy Keith Kellogg will hand a full US-approved peace proposal to Ukrainian officials during a meeting in London on Wednesday. If that deal is as reported, it is a near-complete capitulation to Russian demands.

Trump said on Wednesday in the Oval Office that he found it easier to deal with Russia compared to Ukraine.

"I think Russia is ready," Trump said, noting he believed they were nearing a deal with the Kremlin but aren't there with Ukraine. "I thought it might be easier to deal with Zelensky. So far, it's been harder."

He left open the idea of meeting with the Ukrainian leader when world leaders gather for Pope Francis's funeral on Saturday.

On the campaign trail, Trump repeatedly said he could end the Ukraine-Russia war in one day, but as he approaches his 100th day in office, a truce remains elusive.

"The president is frustrated," White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters. "His patience is running very thin."

Vance warned on Wednesday that the US would "walk away" from its deal-making role if Russia and Ukraine do not come to an agreement - echoing comments last week by Trump and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Sir Richard Branson has attacked Donald Trump’s policies as “doing so much damage” to the world, adding that he did not believe the US president’s actions were backed by most Americans.

The Virgin Atlantic founder warned that the “erratic and unpredictable” actions of the White House were undermining business, although he singled out Trump’s policy on Ukraine as the one that “should worry the world the most”.

The British billionaire said that he had spoken to Elon Musk, the Tesla and SpaceX chief executive, who has become a prominent Trump adviser, about Ukraine, but did not divulge further details.

In comments made to reporters before Virgin Atlantic’s inaugural flight to mark the start of services from London to the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh, Branson said that Trump’s policies, from imposing tariffs to “jumping side” in the war, were “awful for everyone”.
