There's a live version of Throw Your Hatred Down I remember really liking because Eddie sings it. It's a cool song. But Neil Young is a dealbreaker for me, and even though TTLW is the song I like the least on Gigaton, Gigaton is a great album and its least moment is still pretty good

I'm a big fan of Throw Your Hatred Down. And frankly all of Mirrorball. If there is a fire and enough beer I can listen to it end to end and then end to end again

I like TTLW a lot but Throw Your Hatred Down is one of the best songs Pearl Jam has ever been a part of.

Its the ultimate Matt song. I like what people consider to be flaws, and this was the first (and probably last) true Matt song since "get right." i enjoy his vague awkward lyrics about relationships, and transitions that are somehow clunky and smooth at the same time.

The energy is great, I like trying to drum along / run to it. There's guitar leads successfully integrated into the groove as well as a tasteful solo. Ed doesn't strain /sing wearily / have weird vowel tics / over hype with positivity or any of the things that ruin PRAMG era PJ. it sounds like he faithfully copied a demo version.

-also brilliant outro.

i reassessed Gigaton after reassembling the tracklist with "outtakes" and making a few cuts and found that it somewhat stands up with their best albums. and TTLW is winner.

also "Get it back" has almost the same qualities as above and is also top 5 PJ for that reason.

This tracks. Get it Back does basically nothing for me. Always interesting how differently people engage with this band, and what resonates.

I do quite like the solo and the background vocals.

I agree with all of this. And while I like Gigaton just fine it's clear there was the possibility of a top tier album there.

That said I've voted Throw Your Hatred Down as it's amongst my favourite Neil tracks and all of the material recorded by the band with Neil was transcendental.
