what's your favorite beer in canada doug?

for me the transition went chronologically from:

molson ex -> labatt bleu -> sleeman's cream ale -> rickard's red -> boreale rousse -> boreale blonde

relieved that canada can have a leader to be proud of (and not just bc of the beer) ... the universe needed to balance to the bozo in the white house and dialed up an opposite force with Carney as PM

Hopefully he's still PM after the election that is officially being called on Sunday.

How many electoral college-whatever-the-fucks would we get if we became the 51st state?

good question ... looks like the answer is (unsurprisingly) 'it's complicated'

https://www.politico.com/news/2025/01/0 ... ege-001966

but looks like it would swing blue and maybe put DJT and his cronies out of a job

so maybe you guys should bite the bullet and do it!

and, the King of England would no longer be your head of state, so that's a positive

I'm not even going to read that because the idea is a non-starter to begin with!

An Australian, after hearing my accent, asked me if I was Canadian recently. I said no, then kinda regretted it.
