Setting Sun is incredible - love the bittersweet wistfulness in the first half of the song, and the raw unburdened honesty of the climax. Just a phenomenal song.

Fatal has never been more than fine. Atmosphere papered over nothing.

Easily Fatal. Setting Sun is fine, but it's never really resonated with me beyond that, and it definitely doesn't hit the 5-star classic level for me in the way it seems to for others.

"Fatal" is one of the best melodies in the Pearl Jam catalog IMO.

The melody of "Setting Sun" really feels Springsteen-y to me, like something from The Ghost of Tom Joad, which is not my favorite PJ mode. I enjoy the song but I'm with Digster in not quite finding it the masterpiece that some others do.

Outrageous result so far.

Setting Sun is fine but irreparably tainted by being part of the Wotman experiment era.

Did Andy write this one too? Who knows, probably.

Anyway, Fatal is an all-time great.

Fatal is easily the better song. Anyone listening to them one after the other, should be able to hear that.
