Bushleaguer is good. River of Deceit is one of the best songs of its era.

This is a PJ tournament. Riot Act is a Pearl Jam album. Buahleaguer wins by default.

River of Deceit is one of the best songs of that time period. I can see it going far in the tournament.

No, let's not play like that, please. If a song is in the tournament, let it live.

Because Hunger Strike is the better song, and Hungry Strike features all of Pearl Jam.

I think l genuinely prefer "Bushleaguer."

"River of Deceit" is okay, and it seems like a really authentic song for Layne, but all of that "my pain is self chosen, etc. etc." type stuff just doesn't connect with me anymore.

"Bushleaguer" is a gnarly, offbeat little song that serves as a micro-showcase for that era of the band's weirdest tendencies. I miss that era of the band a lot.

It’s perfectly fine to vote for a song not by Pearl Jam. You don’t have to use MAGA-logic to make it ok.

Layne is more miss than hit for me as a writer (with some exceptions) for those reasons, but the performance is undeniable, and the music is gorgeous.

At the end of the day, Bushleaguer is the better song. I haven't listen to River of Deceit in sometime like 30 years.
