Fuck. I love The Dark. Maybe my favorite or second favorite Earthlings song. But Who Ever Said is a 5 star song.

Who Ever Said is a real gem in the latter part of the band's catalogue.

The Dark is, I understand, a song on the Ed/Wotman record.

I voted for The Dark. It is unreasonably catchy and exactly the sort of thing Ed can excel at without the weight of the rest of Pearl Jam. Who Ever Said is also great, but in a toss up, I think I’d put The Dark in my playlist first.

The Dark might be my least favorite Ed solo song.

There, I said it.

It is. I got heated and wrapped up in a real life moment and I took it out on poor The Dark.

While I honestly don't get the love for the tune, it's not Ed's worst solo song. It's probably not a bad song at all. It just does absolutely nothing for me. And I'm really happy it isn't on a proper PJ album.

Okay, I just listened to it. First time in... I don't know how long.

The sentiment is nice. And I didn't have the aversion to it that I remembered. But it's reminds me a lot of everything I like least about 80s era Springsteen.

Still, I owe the song a real apology. Worst Ed solo song? Not by a long shot. I'd completely erased The Haves from my memory.

It is an 80s springsteen song - so if that's not for you then this makes sense.

And yes, the Haves is like No More level syrup.
