never been a huge fan of Leo's... but PTA might be my favorite filmaker . gonna have to just suck it up and accept it

Thought something was a little off about the look of One Battle After Another. Googled it and found it was shot using VistaVision (and apparently The Brutalist was too?)

That's a good thing, right? Higher-resolution film with a larger image area? I saw a video of Brady Corbet talking about using it and it looked cool and seemed like it was worth the extra effort.

I don’t know the tech but I had the same thought. Looked almost motion blur-like it how it presented some of the shots a little too realistic, like the film Magic was missing.
vista vision has nothing to do with frame rate, which i thought looked normal

please refrain from questioning PTA's aesthetic choices
